Kwame Governs Agbodza, the Majority Chief Whip, has notified Parliament that four independent MPs have chosen to work with the House's National Democratic Congress (NDC) Majority Caucus.
He noted that the Majority Caucus had not yet formally notified the Speaker of the MPs' choice.
"Yes, Mr. Speaker, our four colleagues who are independent Members of Parliament in this House did communicate with our caucus to work together on floor business," he said.
Kwame Asare Obeng, better known as Kwame A Plus, represents Gomoa Central; Nandaya Yaw Stanley represents Wulensi; Dr. Ohene Kwame Frimpong represents Asante Akim North; and Worlasi Kpeli, an NDC member who ran as an independent, represents Afram Plains North.

There are just four independent members of Parliament, hence they are unable to band together to create a third force.
During a debate today over the composition of the Parliamentary Selection Committee, Mr. Agbodza made this statement on the floor of Parliament.
MPs will be chosen for various House committees by a 17-member committee headed by the Speaker of Parliament. Twelve of the seventeen members will be in the majority, while five will be in the minority.
Isaac Ashai Odamtten, Emmanuel Kojo Agyekum, Kwame Governs Agbodza, Comfort Doyoe, Ebenezer Terlabi, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Dr. Clement Apaak, Shaibu Mahama, Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, and Richael Owusua make up the majority of the group. Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Patricia Appiagyei, Asante Boateng, Habib Iddrisu, and Mustapha Ussif are among the minority members.
The composition of the newly formed Selection Committee may change if the independent MPs' decision to work with the Majority is formally transmitted, Mr. Agbodza said during the session.
Since the independent MPs would be held responsible for such a decision, the Speaker said that it would not be recorded until he had such official communication from each of them separately.
"So, nobody is going to do it for and on behalf; they have to communicate it individually to the Speaker," said Mr. Bagbin.
