Celestine Donkor, a Ghanaian gospel singer, is returning with a giant version of her annual Celestial Praiz performance after taking a year off.
The 11th Celestial Praiz event will take place on March 9, 2025, at Victory Bible Church's Dominion Sanctuary in Awoshie, Accra.
This year's edition, entitled I Do a New Thing, includes a variety of events targeted at enhancing the gospel music ministry. The theme was inspired by Isaiah 43:19. "Behold, I am doing a new thing; do you not see it? I shall make my way through the woods.
There are rivers in the desert.
This year, Celestine Donkor is refocusing and redirecting Celestial Praiz's attention to strengthen church music.
In order to connect church choirs closer to the Celestine Donkor Music Ministry and brand, the 2025 Celestial Praiz will be preceded by two intimate worship time sessions with vocalists. This program will provide select choral groups with the chance to minister at the March event.
The gospel singer has also launched Campus Gospel alongside Celestine Donkor, another endeavor aimed at making the gospel appealing to our youth. The inaugural event took place on January 31, 2025, at the Crown and Glory School in Gbaweh. This effort will be funded by Celestine Donkor Ministries and its partners.
Aside from Celestine Donkor, the headliner, Celestial Breed, her newly formed gospel music ensemble, will play at Celestial Praiz. The quartet, who have been Celestine's supporting vocals for almost a decade, just released their debut single, 'You're Amazing'.
