Popular marriage therapist Charlotte Oduro has also responded to a divorce action filed against her by her husband, Apostle Solomon Oduro. The action, filed at the Kwabenya court, revealed deep fault lines in their 17-year relationship, as claims and counter-claims told the story of a once harmonious relationship now left in shambles. Apostle Solomon Oduro, in his action, blamed his former wife for a range of marital faults, including a shocking lack of intimacy. He claimed that they had only been intimate 16 times during their 17 years of togetherness. He also claimed that his wife did not pay for the maintenance of their home, raised their children contrary to his wishes, and psychologically and emotionally abused him.
In addition, he claimed Counselor Charlotte instructed their children to refuse him entrance to their home, at times cooked meals in their master bedroom, and engaged in in other behaviors that, in his perspective, made marriage with her out of the question. In an incensed response, as seen by a video consumed on Gossips24, counselor Charlotte Oduro refuted nearly all claims his estranged partner made against her.
She argued that she was truly helping keep up the house, clarifying that funds from her husband's church were being allocated to fulfill the family's needs. She further alleged that she worked at the church but was not earning any income for herself, highlighting that she was, independently, keeping up the house.
Pleading her innocence to the allegations of psychological and emotional abuse, she denied outright ever abusing her husband. She denied allegations that she cut off their children from their father, saying that she never instructed them to deny him access to their home. Probably the most salacious of all the allegations was Apostle Solomon's claim that they had only made love 16 times in the course of their marriage.
Responding to this, counselor Charlotte Oduro admitted that she couldn't recall exactly how many times but acknowledged that they had not been engaging in any sexual intercourse for the past seven years.
The divorce news has shaken social media, more so given counselor Charlotte Oduro's reputation as a counselor who advises couples on how to have healthy marriages.
We shall observe that Apostle Solomon Oduro, in his own press release, had already disclosed that they had been separated for the past three years and had already experienced a traditional dissolution of their marriage last year.
