Prompt action by the Kofi Job Foundation has saved over 300 babies who are now receiving treatment at the Tafo Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region. The foundation has donated four important health equipment, worth nearly 100,000 cedis, to the hospital, which will greatly help in healing childhood ailments.
The equipment donated is:
One phototherapy unit
One Vein Finder
Two C-PAP machines
Four suction machines
The machines were donated to the hospital on Tuesday, 18th February 2025, following a request by the hospital to the foundation some time back.
Dr. Esther Gyebi, CEO of Kofi Job Foundation, indicated that they expect to enable the curing of childhood diseases. She promised that the foundation would continue to help individuals and institutions in greatest need. The Pediatric Department head, Dr. Grace Naado, thanked the foundation.
She was particularly thrilled about the phototherapy machine, noting that the hospital lacked this essential machine before, and it was challenging to manage childhood jaundice effectively. Dr. Naado indicated that the availability of this equipment guarantees that a certain 300 children who previously had no access to them will now get quality care. She thanked the foundation for the support, indicating that it would be of great value to the activities of the hospital.
