Responding to trolls and naysayers disparaging his just published 2024 accomplishment list, award-winning Ghanaian artist Amerado has been unambiguous.
Show number 45, his performance at the outdooring ceremony of Dr. Agyemang Prempeh, the Member of Parliament for Akyem Tafo, was the subject of much of the online debate that followed the list, which underlined the numerous performances he played, the prizes he got, and other milestones.
The rapper responded aggressively on his X (previously Twitter) account as some questioned the event for being below the level of a well-known musician like Amerado.
He revealed that he got paid the incredible GH₵100,000 to perform at the event.
"The outdooring show, number 45 is well bagged and has GHC100k," Amerado said.
Since then, his comments have sparked the debate on the relative economic value of concerts in major cities vs more rural areas.
The rap musician also pointed out that his method is based on flexibility and financial growth rather than on concentrating on a certain group.
