Dr. Kwaku Asiedu Nketia Appointed Acting Deputy CEO of MIIF

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Kwaku Asiedu Nketia as the acting deputy CEO of the Minerals Income Investment Fund. The news was publicized via a press release by the presidency on Friday, January 17, 2025. President Mahama selected Dr. Asiedu Nketia, son of Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), to serve in this very crucial position.

Dr. Asiedu Nketia also has the ideal combination of field exposure and academic background for the position. He is a Doctor of Philosophy in Management Sciences with Business Management as his field of specialization from the Central University of Technology in the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa, where he graduated last year. Besides academics, he is also actively involved in politics as the National Vice Chairman of the NDC Youth Working Committee.

The MIIF that provides the maximum benefit Ghana derives from minerals is tasked with spearheading sustainable economic growth. The Acting Deputy CEO, Dr. Asiedu Nketia, will be tasked with ensuring the management of mineral royalties and investment in a way that Ghana's mineral resource makes its contribution to the wealth of the country in the long term.

This is confirmation that President Mahama is determined to develop Ghana using the country's natural resources by appointing good leaders who will manage the country's precious resources to the fullest.
