To support Science, Technology, Engineering, Ats, and Mathematics (STEM) education and Enhance learning within the Adansi enclave, Successlink Consult Chief Executive Officer Prince Owusu Bonnah has established a STEM practice center and library facility at Adansi Akrofuom within the Ashanti Region.
The centre is used to aid science, technology, engineering, and mathematics teaching and learning of subjects as well as supplement learning materials and literacy potential within the community. The hi-tech centre is a milestone in upgrading the education system further in view of adequately equipping students with the know-how to drive the world increasingly digital and innovative, avers Mr. Bonnah.
He clarified that the multipurpose facility is an innovative step toward preparing district children to take advantage of the sheer benefits of STEM education and improve learning throughout the region.
The facility is set to promote independent learning as well as collaborative work, equipping students with the capacity to research and inquire into many areas of study. While commissioning, the ex-Chief Executive of the Akrofuom District Assembly, Dr. Maurice Jonas Woode commended the CEO of Successlink for being bold to embark on such a project, highlighting that there was a need to transform the education system and the STEM center part of such an endeavor.
He encouraged students in the district to accept STEM education and not think the subject is hard."The world is changing at a rapid rate. Thus, it was paramount to acknowledge the education dynamics.We all know that education in STEM is the future these days. Hence, we all have to accept and adapt to it. District Director of Education Jacob Kwasi Anakpor thanked Mr. Prince Owusu Bonnah for the initiative.
He mandated that all the stakeholders come together so that STEM education challenges are eased to enable children to embrace and implement it. He called on other philanthropists and organizations to step in and ensure the establishment of infrastructure within schools, further reiterating that the government cannot do everything alone.
