Mr. Francis Adomako, Ashanti Regional Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has initiated a clean-up exercise to rally the party base. The Regional Organizer, Oforikrom Member of Parliament, constituents, and the NPP Students Wing cleaned the Ayeduase township on Thursday, 6th March.
Approximately 300 NPP members equipped with brooms, rakes, and other clearing and cleaning tools cleared the Ayeduase communities and also evacuated the debris into wheel barrows.
Singing and chanting NPP jingles with others dressed in branded T-shirts, the group proceeded to big and small markets in Ayeduase and cleaned the perimeters around them.
Regional Organisation
Speaking to the press during the exercise, Mr. Francis Adomako explained he was committed to leveraging clean-up exercises in mobilizing the party membership.
He went on to disclose that he had drafted a program for the area where his team would be carrying out clean-up exercises with all the 47 constituency branches of the NPP. These exercises, Mr. Adomako added, would also be used to educate others on the NPP and why one should have faith in it as it reorganizes for the next general elections.
"It is a fact that we lost the 2024 general election badly but we are not intimidated. We as a party are resolute in going through all the reasons we lost and channeling our energies to get readying our support base," the Oforikrom Regional Organizer concluded.
"Huge Respect"
MP for Oforikrom, Hon. Michael Aidoo, also applauded the regional organizer's decision. He also praised the work of his people, especially the NPP student wing in KNUST and the Assembly Member of the constituency for their sacrifice to the party years ago. The MP pledged to continue the social activities of the party, like the clean-up exercises.
"We feel lucky to be the first to have this activation momentum of the regional organizer, and we will make sure to keep it so that we can use it in the future to build a strong party and constituency," the MP hinted.
