The GFA has formed a new Black Stars Management Committee, with Randy Abbey as Chairman and Stephen Appiah as Deputy.

The Football Association has established a new management committee for the senior male national team (Black Stars).

Dr. Randy Abbey, a GFA Executive Council member, will lead the Committee, which is in charge of monitoring the team's administrative and logistical operations. Dr. Abbey will chair the committee while also leading communication with the government and other stakeholders. Mr. Stephen Appiah, a former Black Stars captain, will serve as Vice Chairman, advising Dr. Abbey and focusing on Player Relations.

Other members of the committee include Mr. Samuel Aboabire, Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association and an Executive Council member of the GFA, and Mr. Moses Armah, President of Medeama Sporting Club. Both Messrs. Aboabire and Armah shall be responsible for operations and Matchday activities while ensuring that the interests of Sponsors, partners, and other collaborators are well taken care of. Mr. Richard Nsenkyire, President of FC Samartex 1996, the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League Champions, is a member responsible for special duties.

The Management Committee's responsibilities will include overall effective management and development of the team's strategic plan and activities, acting as a liaison between the Technical Team and the GFA, ensuring adequate camping arrangements, providing logistical support, and making regular visits to the team in camp. The committee, in collaboration with the head coach and technical crew, will establish and enforce activity schedules for all matches and competitions.

Furthermore, the Committee will be in charge of following up on the receipt of funding for team operations from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, ensuring that the finest travel arrangements are in place, and that team members perform in a way appropriate for Ghanaian Ambassadors. Furthermore, the management Committee shall ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are in place to effectively manage and support the playing body and team officials, as well as to maintain a cordial relationship between the committee, the Technical team, and the playing body.

The GFA is optimistic that the new Management Committee will have the necessary skills and experience to help the Black Stars achieve success.
