NPP members want a reshuffle in Dome-Kwabenya after the election loss.

A group of worried New Patriotic Party (NPP) members in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency are pushing for a reorganization of the party's leadership in the region, citing executive shortcomings as the primary cause of their defeat in the 2024 general elections.

Alhaji Ibrahim Frimpong, Convenor of Dome-Kwabenya's Concerned NPP Members, blames the party's officials for their failure. He accused the executives of manipulation, sabotage, and ineptitude, resulting in their loss

Frimpong explicitly stated that the parliamentary candidate, Lawyer Michael Oquaye Jr., was complacent and failed to reconcile with other party members following the primaries. He feels that this had a key role in their loss.

Concerned NPP members are now pushing the National Executives to intervene and guarantee that everything is done correctly to assist them reclaim their seat in the next four years.

This comes after the NPP lost its Dome-Kwabenya seat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 general election. Adwoa Safo formerly held the seat, but was defeated by Oquaye Jnr in the NPP primaries.

The Electoral Commission has already deferred the release of the Dome-Kwabenya parliamentary results because to disagreements between the NPP and the NDC.
