Dr. John Kingsley Krugu Bids Farewell as EPA Ghana CEO, Welcomes Successor


Dr. John Kingsley Krugu, leaving Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Ghana, reminisced on his term in a touching farewell letter, expressing thanks and satisfaction with the agency's extraordinary contributions to Ghana's environmental protection.

During his tenure, Dr. Krugu oversaw the EPA's shift from an agency to an authority, complete with expanded oversight and stronger authorities to protect the environment and combat climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss.

Dr. Krugu praised President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo for the opportunity to serve Ghana, calling it as a great honour. He also thanked the EPA's 6th Governing Board, staff, and management members for their support and good wishes during his service.









Dr. Krugu welcomed his successor, Professor Nana Ama Browne Klutse, and wished her success in implementing the new environmental law.

Dr. Krugu's tenure at the EPA was distinguished by a strong dedication to environmental protection and sustainability. Under his leadership, the agency has played a critical role in promoting eco-friendly practices and creating awareness about the value of environmental conservation.









As Dr. Krugu starts a new chapter, his impact at the EPA will definitely inspire and drive future generations of environmental leaders.
