A Legacy of Giving: Kofi Job Esther Gyebi's Philanthropic Activities in Ghana

Mr. Kofi Job and his wife, Dr. Esther Gyebi, have made invaluable contributions to the nation's healthcare, education, and economic growth. As the Kofi Job Foundation's founders, they have left an indelible effect on Ghana's economic sector, notably in health, education, employment, infrastructure, and religion.

*Transforming healthcare in the Ashanti region*

One of their outstanding successes is the contribution of nearly GH¢3 million to five major hospitals in the Ashanti Region, including the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Suntreso Government Hospital, Kumasi South Hospital, Tafo Government Hospital, and the Manhyia District Hospital.

Similarly, the Suntreso Government Hospital's mother and baby section has got 10 brand new Sepap machines to help premature newborns breathe.

*Helping Individual Patients and Families*

In addition to their institutional contributions, Mr. Kofi Job and Dr. Esther Gyebi have offered financial assistance to individual patients and families who are suffering to pay medical fees. In the previous six months, the Kofi Job Foundation has covered the bills of over 1,000 patients, providing relief to both individuals and hospitals.

Bringing Hope to Cancer Patients

At Kumasi South Hospital, two young children suffering from childhood cancer had lost hope owing to the hefty expense of surgery, estimated at more over GH¢100,000. However, their fortunes changed when Mr. Kofi Job and his wife, Dr. Esther Gyebi, came to see them at the institution. The Kofi Job Foundation generously donated GH¢120,000 to cover all treatment fees for the children. This noble deed restored hope to the families of these youngsters, who had previously given up due to financial difficulties.

The Kofi Job Foundation's action has not only provided relief to these families, but it has also demonstrated the organization's dedication to assisting vulnerable people in their time of need.

The impact on education
The Kofi Job Foundation's effect goes beyond healthcare. In the educational sector, they have awarded scholarships to scores of deserving students around the country. One prominent example is the scholarship given to Maybel Acheampong, a home science student at Presbyterian Technical School in the Ashanti Region. The charity offered her GH¢20,000 in immediate help and a full scholarship for university education.
