Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has been formally allowed to run for a position on the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) Executive Committee in the 2019 elections.
Mr Okraku acknowledged his candidacy in a Facebook post, disclosing that he had passed the integrity and eligibility tests required of all candidates.
"I am pleased to announce that I have been cleared to compete for a position on the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) Executive Committee after clearing the integrity and edibility exam. I'm enthusiastic about what's coming up! "May God guide us along this journey," he wrote.
On January 14, 2025, Muftawu Nabila Abdulai initially reported on his decision to run for office.
