In his latest statement, colorful Ghanaian prophet and political analyst, Prophet Kumchacha, blamed President Nana Akufo-Addo of being the worst president in Ghana's history. Kumchacha had been optimistic about a better future for the country under the potential leadership of former President John Dramani Mahama.
Kumchacha identified what he described as the governance, economic management, and social policy failure of the Akufo-Addo administration. He listed rising inflation, unemployment, and civil unrest as measures of failure on the part of the government.
With faith in John Mahama's history and experience, the pastor was of the opinion that Mahama would turnaround things for the better. The economy of Ghana, Kumchacha opined, could be corrected and stability was possible with Mahama at the helm.
The words are being said in an era of increasing political tensions as Ghana approaches its next election. The loyalists of the two presidents still engage in arguments over which way the country is going, most of them calling for physical change in citizens' and government well-being.
The increasing disillusionment of the majority of Ghanaians is expressed in Kumchacha's strong denunciation of President Akufo-Addo. Mahama's possible return is still the matter of reform and development because the country still lingers on who will be its next leaders.
